E-Discovery + Document Management
Litigation-Scale Data Extraction + Document Search Infrastructure. Architected and led development of Bates White’s internal data engineering platform for legal document processing. The system integrated tools such as Tesseract, Textract, Apache Tika, Solr, and Relativity, enabling automated OCR, keyword search, metadata enrichment, and structured ingestion across PDFs, images, Word files, and scanned records.
- Amazon/eBay MFN Case – Web scraping and price history extraction via API
- False Claims Act – Medical Records – Time-series mapping of patient care histories
- Hospital Contract Dispute – Structured data generation from unsearchable contract PDFs
- Pharma Price Fixing – Big-data Solr + Hadoop system for document and transaction analysis
Purdue Pharma, Boy Scouts of America, Bestwall LLC – Bankruptcy Litigation
Deployed customized e-discovery pipelines integrating Solr, OCR, and tagging logic for use in large-scale bankruptcy matters involving millions of documents. Supported expert review and cost allocation in nationally followed litigation.
RMBS + Structured Finance Litigation
Ambac v. Bank of America / Countrywide – RMBS Claims
Led development of analytical infrastructure supporting Ambac’s damages modeling across 26 mortgage securitizations. Tools reconstructed cash-flow waterfalls, forecasted loan performance, and supported expert trial testimony (resulting in a $1.84 B settlement after 15 days).
FGIC v. Countrywide / Lehman Brothers – RMBS Modeling
Developed Monte Carlo simulation and “but-for” models to estimate losses from representation and warranty breaches across RMBS pools. Supported expert reports and rebuttals in multi-billion-dollar contexts.
